Who I Am
Hi, I'm Katie, owner of Honey Badger Billing. With more than 15 years of medical billing and revenue cycle management experience, I have worked across a wide range of specialties and healthcare settings.
My career began with a large family practice clinic, where I quickly advanced to Billing Supervisor. In that role, I oversaw the revenue cycle for multiple service lines, including family practice, internal medicine, podiatry, mental health, X-ray services, and on-site laboratory testing. For eight years, I managed billing operations, optimized reimbursement processes, and helped ensure the financial health of the practice.
After the practice was acquired, I joined an orthopedic surgery group, where I was promoted to Billing Manager. Over the next five years, I managed all aspects of the revenue cycle, including payer contract negotiations, patient registration, insurance verification, prior authorizations, coding, claim submission, and accounts receivable follow-up. This comprehensive experience gave me a deep understanding of the operational and financial challenges healthcare providers face.
When the practice owner retired, I launched Honey Badger Billing in 2023. Since then, I have been dedicated to helping healthcare providers streamline their revenue cycle processes, improve operational efficiency, and maximize reimbursements so they can focus on delivering exceptional patient care.
